Lisa Valdes

Lisa Valdes is the Department Chair of the iSierra Online Academy at La Sierra High School in the Fullerton Joint Union High School District, where she leads program development, supports instructional staff, and designs systems that enhance student success, online learning, and program compliance. With more than 30 years in secondary education, including over 22 years dedicated to Independent Study, she has extensive experience in online instruction, program leadership, curriculum implementation, educational technology, and teacher mentoring. Her work has included leading district wide initiatives focused on enrollment, orientation, student engagement, and instructional innovation, while collaborating with educators to strengthen Independent Study programs and improve student outcomes. Lisa holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, both from California State University, Fullerton. She is committed to advancing innovative, high-quality Independent Study practices that support both students and educators.
