Steve Curiel has over 26 years of K-Adult Education experience as a teacher and administrator. As an administrator, he has overseen Adult Education, Community Day School, and Independent Study programs. He is currently the Principal for Huntington Beach Adult School that serves 7000 students each year. He is active in a number of professional organizations and sits on the boards of California Adult Education Administrators Association (CAEAA), California Consortium for Independent Study (CCIS), and the Orange County Workforce Investment Board. In 2016, he was awarded the Administrator of the Year in Adult Education from the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Region XVII. Currently, Steve serves as the CAEAA President, CCIS President, and Adult Education Council Representative to the ACSA Legislative Policy Committee. Steve is passionate about ensuring the alternative education students are recognized, valued, and supported as contributing members of California’s economy and society as a whole.
