Jonna Weidaw is the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Lakeport Unified School District in Lake County, California, where she leads district wide curriculum development, alternative education programs, independent study systems, and innovative learning opportunities for students. Jonna has worked in education since 2003, with experience in alternative education, self-contained classroom settings, independent study, instructional leadership, and curriculum design.
Jonna’s professional experience includes serving as adjunct faculty in the Department of Education at Dominican University of California, supporting educator development through Sonoma State University’s Department of Extended Education, the North Bay International Studies Project, and the California Global Education Project. She has served as a curriculum lead and designer, developing innovative instructional models that expand access and engagement for diverse learners.
Jonna is a 2019 Better Together Educator, TED-Ed speaker, published educator, and holds California teaching and administrative credentials.
