Machele Kilgore

Machele has been with CCIS for over 26 years, serving two terms as President, one term as Past President, and now, serving as one of the Executive Directors. Her focus as an Executive Director, centers on supporting teachers and the CCIS board. Machele’s expertise extends to training, compliance, and staying abreast of current legislation. Her involvement with Independent Study encompasses both teaching and administrative roles, with contributions to the TK-8 Community Home Education Program (CHEP) and the 9-12 grade Pacific Coast High School (PCHS) under the Orange County Department of Education. Machele’s dedication to Alternative Education is a constant thread throughout her entire career, and she expresses genuine enthusiasm for the rewarding experiences she’s had in the field. She particularly values the collaborative synergy with the accomplished CCIS board of educators and administrators from diverse corners of the state.
